The Sunilda Benitez Foundation (TSBF Cares) began with a simple promise: to bring comfort and happiness to children, elderly and families in need in Paraguay. We collect clothing, toys, shoes, school supplies and household items from our friends, family members, coworkers and neighbors; and sent them as “Boxes of Joy” to those who need them most. We believe in transforming everyday generosity into lasting impact for underserved families in Paraguay.
We take extra care to sort and package each donation, ensuring that every box is thoughtfully prepared and every family receives goods in excellent condition. Our direct approach allows us to bridge the distance between generous donors in our community and families facing hardship in Paraguay. By focusing on care, respect, and transparency, we stand apart as a hands-on, compassionate organization dedicated to making every donation matter.
Ms. Sunilda Benitez was born in Paraguay, South America. She was one of 11 children raised in a rural village located in the Province of Caazapa. As a young women, she studied to become a hairdresser, a profession that she cherished all her life.
Ms. Sunilda or “Suny” as she was called by family and friends had two children: Nilsa Cristina Zacarias and Pablo Hernan Alves. As a loving mother and grandmother, she was very proud of her family and always very supportive. Her purpose in life was to see them flourish and succeed in their own path. After she moved to the United States of America, she will send boxes of clothing, toys, and shoes to help families in need in Paraguay. Ms. Sunilda was a vibrant, hard-working and beautiful soul that lived her life with happiness and reaching out to others. She passed away in December 2020 leaving family and friends that will forever be touch by her smile and joy of life.
In her memory, the Sunilda Benitez Foundation was founded in October 2024 to honor her legacy and continue her dedication to help others with joy and determination. The Board of Directors is committed to the Foundation’s mission that is reflected in our early accomplishments.
“My Mother shaped by life by showing me how essential is to serve and help others”
